Snr Product Manager for MCP Integrations

Role overview
The role sits inside the LSEG AI team and carries end-to-end ownership of integration patterns and agentic orchestration for LSEG's MCP tools. Rather than treating financial intelligence as a set of isolated tool calls, the goal is to make it usable inside multi-step reasoning pipelines that automate genuine financial work, whether those pipelines run on partner platforms, third-party orchestrators or internal agentic applications.
Day to day you will decide which AI platforms and agent frameworks LSEG supports, publish reference architectures and sample workflows for them, and shape the sandbox, demo and documentation experience that lets outside developers build on LSEG data. You will also write the product requirements for reliability and safety, working with AI Governance and Model Risk, and partner with the Financial Domain Tools PM and the MCP Platform PM so that tools, infrastructure and orchestration patterns evolve together.
What you will do
- Set the integration roadmap for the AI platforms LSEG supports: Claude from Anthropic, Microsoft's Copilot Studio and Azure AI, OpenAI, Google, plus open-source frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI and AutoGen.
- Publish integration patterns, reference architectures and recommended practices for wiring LSEG MCP tools into external agent orchestrators and workflow engines, and prioritise partnerships that widen the reach of the MCP ecosystem.
- Define product patterns for multi-tool agentic workflows, covering chaining, conditional branches, parallel runs, checkpoints where a human signs off, and recovery from errors.
- Create workflow templates and reference implementations for financial use cases such as morning briefings, drafting equity research, analysing portfolio rebalances, surveilling credit and modelling macro scenarios.
- Own the requirements for orchestration reliability so agents respond sensibly when a tool fails, times out, returns something ambiguous or trips a guardrail.
- Design onboarding journeys, sample workflows and integration guides, plus the demo and sandbox setups and reference prompts, that let external developers and partners build on LSEG MCP tools.
- Grow a developer community around the integrations, collecting feedback and surfacing blockers to adoption.
- Specify the guardrails, sign-off gates and safety patterns that stop autonomous agents taking unintended actions or surfacing misleading outputs with LSEG financial data, and work with AI Governance and Model Risk on auditability, decision traceability and human oversight standards.
- Design monitoring and alerting for workflow health, tracking how often pipelines complete, where they fail, which tools get called and what each agent-driven run costs.
- Collaborate with the Financial Domain Tools PM, the MCP Platform PM, commercial and business development teams, and divisional product teams to make tools composable, support session continuity and context passing, and position agentic MCP capabilities with partners and enterprise clients.
What the employer is looking for
- Product management background in integrations, APIs, developer platforms or workflow and orchestration products.
- Working understanding of how agents chain tools, reason over several steps, make decisions autonomously and hand control back to humans.
- Familiarity with the AI/LLM ecosystem and agent frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or Copilot Studio.
- Track record of building products for developers, from SDKs and documentation through to reference code.
- Experience standing up sandbox environments and reference implementations that outside developers can start from.
- Comfortable working beyond company boundaries with partners, developer communities and the platform vendors themselves.
Good to have
- Production experience with MCP, function calling or similar tool-use approaches in LLM applications.
- Background in fintech, capital-markets work or enterprise data-integration projects.
- Prior partnership or ecosystem development work in a platform or marketplace setting.
- Awareness of the safety, guardrail and governance questions raised by autonomous agents.
Benefits and compensation
- Base salary of $78,900 – $131,500 (ranges vary by geography) plus eligibility for the Annual Incentive Plan bonus.
- Annual wellness allowance and paid time off.
- Medical, dental and vision cover, flexible spending and health savings options, and a prescription drug plan.
- 401(k) savings plan with company match, basic life insurance and disability benefits.
- Emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance and commuter assistance.
- Paid volunteering days and wellbeing initiatives.

DigitalAPI's read on this role
Why LSEG's MCP Integrations PM role matters for API teams in 2026
DigitalAPI's leadership team has run API programmes for Fortune 100 companies and now builds the platform behind them. Here is their take on what this opening really asks for.
What this role says about the market
A financial data provider hiring a dedicated product manager for MCP integrations is a clear signal that agents have become a first-class consumer of API programmes. The job is not about a single endpoint; it is about how tools are chained, how partners onboard through sandboxes and reference implementations, and how guardrails and traceability are enforced before an autonomous agent touches market data. That is the same portal-and-governance work API platform teams have done for human developers, now reframed for agent ecosystems that span several vendors at once.
What to emphasise in your application
- Developer-platform product work you have shipped: SDKs, docs, sandboxes, onboarding flows and the adoption metrics that followed.
- Concrete experience with tool-use or MCP in production LLM apps, including how you handled timeouts, failures and ambiguous tool responses.
- Ecosystem and partnership outcomes across multiple AI platforms or orchestrators, not just one vendor's stack.
- Any work on agent safety, approval gates, audit trails or human oversight, especially in a regulated setting.
- Familiarity with capital markets workflows such as research generation, portfolio analysis or credit surveillance.
For hiring managers
DigitalAPI's leadership team would screen for candidates who treat the MCP tool catalogue as a product with a lifecycle, not a technical integration list. Ask how they would onboard a partner from first sandbox call to monitored production workflow, how they would instrument completion and failure rates per tool, and how they would keep guardrails automated rather than dependent on a review committee. Multi-platform thinking matters more than depth on any single agent framework.
Our view is that every API programme now has two audiences, humans and agents, and that governing access across many gateways and agent platforms through one agent-ready portal is the skill that separates mature teams. This role is a textbook example of that shift.
About DigitalAPI
DigitalAPI is the gateway-agnostic command centre for APIs and AI agents. It connects to the gateways an enterprise already runs, Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway and Azure API Management, and turns everything behind them into one governed, self-serve catalogue for developers, partners and AI agents. API Gateway, API Portal, API Catalog, API Marketplace, MCP Gateway and MCP Portal ship as one platform.
The company grew out of an API consultancy founded in Bangalore in 2015 that became an Apigee-Google partner in 2017, then built its own cloud-agnostic, AI-powered platform in 2020 after seeing how fragmented gateways and duplicate APIs blocked its clients. More than 240 API teams now use it, with customers such as Zurich, Canara Bank, HSBC, Fiserv and Mahindra Finance. DigitalAPI has offices in the USA, UK and India, 130+ people, and recognition from Gartner and Deloitte.
